Important information about working with Anna Kreimes
Anna Kreimes provides independent science and regulatory consulting to supplement and FemTech brands — evidence-based formulation input and EU/UK claims guidance. All information, reports and recommendations are provided as professional guidance to businesses. They are not legal advice, not medical advice, and not a guarantee of regulatory approval.
This is not legal advice. Guidance on claims and regulations reflects a professional interpretation of the rules as they stand at the time of delivery. It does not replace review by a qualified legal or regulatory professional where that is required, and final responsibility for compliance rests with the client.
01
Nature of the service
This is an independent consulting service. Deliverables — including claims audits, formulation concepts and evidence dossiers — are professional recommendations to support the client’s own decisions. They are prepared for businesses and are not medical advice to consumers.
02
Not legal advice
Regulatory and claims guidance is informed professional opinion, not legal advice. Where a definitive legal position is needed, clients should obtain independent legal or regulatory sign-off. Nothing provided creates a solicitor–client or other regulated professional relationship.
03
No guarantee of regulatory outcome
Regulations, authorised-claim registers and their interpretation change over time and are subject to enforcement discretion. No guarantee is given that a product, claim or formulation will not be questioned, challenged or subject to regulatory action. Guidance reflects the position as at the date of delivery.
04
The client remains responsible
The client (as brand owner and/or manufacturer) remains legally responsible for product safety, quality, labelling, claims and compliance in each market they sell in. Deliverables support — but do not replace — the client’s own due diligence and any required manufacturer, quality or QP sign-off.
05
Formulation & evidence deliverables
Formulation concepts and evidence rationales are provided for guidance only. They are not a substitute for laboratory formulation, stability and safety testing, or manufacturing R&D, and they do not constitute medical or dietary advice for individual consumers.
06
Confidentiality, data & liability
Client and project information is treated as confidential, and personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data-protection law. Liability is limited to the terms of the specific engagement; Anna Kreimes is not liable for outcomes arising from decisions the client makes or from changes in the regulatory landscape.
Regulatory scope
European Union
Claims guidance is based on Regulation (EC) 1924/2006 and the permitted-claims list in Regulation (EU) 432/2012, and the EU Register of nutrition and health claims. Northern Ireland follows EU rules. Guidance reflects the register as at the date of delivery.
Great Britain
Guidance is based on the assimilated (retained) GB versions of the claims regulations and the GB nutrition & health claims register. GB and EU rules may diverge over time, and each market should be considered separately.
Other markets
Work focuses on EU and UK claims and formulation. Other jurisdictions (for example the US, Canada, Australia) have different rules and require separate local review; they are outside the scope of an engagement unless expressly agreed in writing.
Data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 (and the EU GDPR where applicable). You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your data. Contact info@annakreimes.com.
